the ten year old girl who is saving for a godchild, just like the
service clubs that have financed some of our projects already;
the German Embassy in Kathmandu as well as the individual schools,
classes or church groups;
the district of Dortmund just like friends who live in the exterior;
all the people living here who’s were hands-on help is needed
to do our work here, the single women, who named us in her last
will; the media which made us well known in the same manner as every
individual who collected money at family festivities.
Bazaars, benefit performances, circuses for children in aid of our
kids, friendly word of mouth at random get-togethers – there’s
an unlimited amount of ways, so many possibilities that help us,
that help; that help give the miracle enough space to approach us
like a bird …
I appreciate everything you’ve done for me and I know that
our Shanti family is too – our team and our patients.
We all wholeheartedly wish you and us lots of joy and hope that
you’ll continue to have pleasure in seeing how rich your help
bears fruit.
Remain treasured!

P.S.: I would have loved to print a colourful picture of our painters
in this booklet but as soon as I heard the price for such undertaking
(a total of € 2.500) I refrained from doing so. The money would
suffice for a new hen house!
Article from the facility
in Nepal
We’re proud and glad to inform all of our contributors who
meant well with us and our friends that we’ve finalised 10
years of service towards the sick and helpless men in Nepal in July
2002.
That was made possible by the friendly help of our German contributors
and the German medical relief organization action mediator. Such
a success wouldn’t have been possible without their help.
The support that we received in both a national and international
way was enormous.
We hope to continue with the same motivation.
Until March this year all in all we’ll have treated 115,815
patients.
Finally I’d like to thank all of the contributors and friends
and hope that we can continue to aim for making this world a better
place.

of our facility)
We, the entire Shanti family in Nepal would like to thank all
of contributors, supporters and everyone who means well with us
for turning the last ten years into a successful decade and we’re
proud to inform you communicate the celebration of our 10th anniversary
on 15 July 02 to you.
Shanti was capable of feeding, sheltering and medically supporting
many helpless, poor and sick people in Nepal since the foundation
in 1992.
We started with 13 lepers many of them being beggars around the
Pathupathi temple. Now more then 730 poor and disabled people are
supervised by Shanti.
They receive various apprenticeships and workings and the children
are sent to school.
We’re proud to see how hopeless, heavily disabled lepers become
artistic painters. Others become skilled tailors, paper workers,
printers etc.
This all has been made possible by your friendly support and encouragement.
We hope to continue this good work: helping poor and sick people
and to restore peace to this world.

Dear mother
Dear mother Marine.
Being with you makes me happy because you give us food to eat. You
have inaugurated a school for us. You have opened a nice school
for us. I hope you’ll always love us and help us.
Thank you mother. You brought me a lovely bike and happy birthday!
(note: he got the bike because he was the best pupil in class!)
Thanks! Have a nice day!
